Matthew Cleveland Commits To Florida State University

Pace Academy (Georgia) four-star forward Matthew Cleveland is the next top prospect to commit to Florida State University (FSU).

“#committed,” Cleveland announces via Twitter.

The rising senior picked FSU over a final five that listed top tier programs such as Kansas, Michigan, Stanford, and North Carolina State (NC State).

In his junior campaign, Cleveland posted 22.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while also shooting 43.0% from beyond the arc. The 6’6 small-forward lead the Pace Academy Knights to a 28-4 overall record, clinching a 3A State Title victory against Jefferson by a score of 48-35.

The nation’s No.35 prospect in the 2021 class has been making national headlines due to recent strong performances on the AAU scene. While competing with the Atlanta Celtics, Cleveland is averaging 20.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest.

The four-star will also be joining fellow top 35 recruit Bryce McGowens (No. 33) at the University making FSU ranked as the No. 5 recruiting class nationally and No. 2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
