UCLA Team Breakdown

By Kellan King

With college football season just getting into the swing of things, lets go over one the more intriguing teams for the 2021 season, the UCLA Bruins.

Reasons to Buy

Currently on the SimBull market, UCLA is at $41.09, 31st on the market. Last weekend, the clobbered Hawaii, 44-10. They had good performances from QB Dorian Thompson Robison, and had a great running game led by 3 touchdowns from Michigan transfer Zach Charbonnet. After watching that game, people should really be excited about the Bruins offense. They have playmakers all over the field, one of the best QBs in the Pac 12 in DTR, and a legendary play caller in Chip Kelly. The Bruins will also get a chance to make a statement win this week against LSU.

Reasons to Sell

Probably the biggest reason to sell UCLA would be their brutal schedule. The Bruins will face 6 teams in the preseason top 25. Can a team that was average last year find a way to win games against very good teams? At best the answer is maybe. Additionally, UCLA still has question marks at a lot of key positions on defense, and a Coach who hasn’t coached a winning team since 2014.

Final Verdict

Overall I’d say to buy. I believe in this UCLA team led by DTR to win at least 7 or 8 games, and give you a good return on your money.
